I’m headed to Guatemala. Will you join me?

On August 4th, I will be joining Lindsey Nobles to lead a team of FH bloggers to Guatemala. It is my first trip with FH and my first in over a decade to Latin America. Life has been so busy lately that I haven’t taken the time to sit down and get excited for what we’re going to do!

FH has been in Guatemala since the early days (1976), entering after an earthquake left a million people homeless. Dallas has about 1.2 million people living there – can you imagine if an earthquake left the entire city of Dallas homeless? FH has different types of programs and activities we do in country and Guatemala will be exciting to see almost all of them in action! From agriculture to water, we’ll experience the work of FH to transform communities and change the lives of people for generations.

Will you join me?

FH bloggers use their voice and influence to bring hope to children around the globe. We’ll have a number of great opportunities on the trip for you to join us – including a live Twitter chat on Tuesday, August 6, at 8pm est. You’ll be able to interact with the bloggers while we are in community and learn more about the communities we serve in. You can follow us on Twitter using #fhbloggers. You can join us on Instagram. Or Facebook.

The biggest impact you can make? You can sponsor a child. When you sponsor a child, you help provide access to education, food, spiritual development, clean water, and more. You help impact a child, her family, and an entire community. If you follow that link, you’ll find several kids in Guatemala, if you comment the first name of the child you sponsor, I’ll see if I can meet him while I am in country!

Join us in August in Guatemala as we use our voices to change the lives of the people we serve at FH.
