Build a consistent social presence. Pick 2-3 social platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, Flickr, Instagram, and so forth) and invest your time into building a presence. Developing a consistent voice and purpose in your social presence will help build your personal brand.
Build relationships. Find people in your niche that you’d like to connect with and reach out to them. Offer to guest blog or to review one of their products or books. Arrange to meet them at a conference or event. Compliment them through retweets, posting their blog posts to social platforms, and commenting on their blog. Making a personal connection with people will increase your influence and reach.
